About

Growing up on the Sunshine Coast of BC, my love and commitment for volleyball started early when I began commuting daily to Vancouver to play competitive club volleyball. After 3 years playing for BCO volleyball Club in North Vancouver, I signed to Simon Fraser University (SFU) and played out my indoor career with a great building program, and coaching staff of Gina Schmidt and Rob Gowe. I was lucky enough to help take the SFU women’s indoor program to its first ever NCAA National tournament appearance in 2016.

After my indoor career at SFU was complete, I knew that my volleyball journey was not yet over. Coach Schmidt suggested I play professional beach, as it was something I found my passion for after winning gold at BC Summer Games in 2012. From then on I fully committed myself to the path of becoming a professional beach volleyball athlete. I continued on to complete my NCAA eligibility at The University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB), playing for coach Kyra Iannone. Upon completion of my university eligibility, I worked as the assistant coach for the SFU indoor program, then again for the UAB beach program. In 2019 I was selected for the Beach Volleyball National Team in Toronto, Ontario.

I completed my Bachelor of Education at SFU with a minor in Kinesiology, and a Masters of Human Communications Management from UAB. My first international beach volleyball season was in 2019, as I continue to now train and pursue the dream of having a fulltime professional training center here in BC for both myself and our developing future of next generation of athletes.

Coaching has been my full time job since 2013 in both beach and indoor, for all ages ranging from elementary to professional. I coached fellow National Team athletes in 2021, and will continue to travel and coach national team athletes as well as developing a high level of beach volleyball here in British Columbia. My journey has been unique in the fact that I had to grow up with the challenges of limited high level beach offered here in BC. I am now even more passionate about growing a program to help athletes have access to the highest standard of training, knowledge, and recruitment; to assist them in pursuing their dreams in becoming a professional National Team level beach or indoor volleyball athlete.

Support my Journey

Currently I am in pursuit of my goal of becoming one of the top ranked athletes in the world and competing in the Elite 16 World Tour main draw, with future aspirations of the 2028 Olympic Games. The journey of an individual athlete in Canada is unique in the fact I have to provide all my own funding in order to train away from the national team hub in Toronto. Despite these financial challenges and training restrictions, I love the freedom and opportunity to represent my country on the world stage, create my life and programs in Vancouver, as this is something I willingly chose to do in 2021. If you are interested in joining my team and supporting me on my journey, please feel free to reach out any time, and even the smallest contribution doesn’t go unnoticed.
